He was commissioned by the Duchess and Duke of Badajoz to organise the grand wedding banquet of Simoneta Gomez-Acebo and José M. Fernandez, which congregated 800 guests.
He has organised gala dinners for numerous national and international events such as ABTA ’83, ABTA ’93, ABTA 2003, the City Palma Awards and congresses such as DRV, Aranzadi or IBM.
In 1993 the Juan Cabrera team managed to hold two events that brought together over 11,000 people in less than 48 hours. The first was the ABTA ’93 closing party, which congregated 3000 people, and the second was the Ultima Hora newspaper party held on the occasion of its one hundredth anniversary, attended by 8000 guests.
Nevertheless, his greatest catering achievement was “La cena jamás servida” (lit. ‘the never-served dinner’), as the island’s media named it; over 12,000 people dined on a 15-course menu with no restrictions, invited by AENA in Palma de Mallorca’s Spanish village (Pueblo Español).
Another highly satisfying event for this great professional took place in 1999, when the Sophia Symphony Orchestra chose the Es Molí d’es Comte Restaurant as the setting for the rehearsals for its concert in Palma de Mallorca.
Es Molí d’es Comte Restaurant, a synonym of guarantee and quality.
ABTA Congress 2003, with 2 lunches for 1800 people each and the Closing Gala Dinner for 2100 people, in a macro-marquee installed in the heart of Palma’s Paseo Marítimo.
